Here remain the ruins of a civilization that ruled the Lake Titicaca basin between -1100 bc 1200 ac. The Incas and the inhabitants of Easter Island could be their descendants. We will visit the archaeological site in the morning when the light is still soft. Franz, who lives 20m from the site, is passionate about the history of his ancestors. He’ll present us the knowledge possessed by the ancient civilization and their way of understanding the world as we walk through the site. In the afternoon we will walk up the nearby ridge to camp with a view on both, the archeological site and lake Titicaca.
Transport: Tiwanaku is on the road between La Paz and Lake Titicaca. We will reach Tiwanku with a private transport
